Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse/Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and committed to delivering exceptional service in a professional environment. If not qualified you can gain your dental nurse qualification while working with us.

Duties

Assist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have
Record patient information accurately using IT systems and maintain detailed dental records
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
Uphold infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff
Communicate effectively with patients, offering reassurance and explaining procedures clearly
Organise clinic supplies to ensure all necessary materials are readily available for daily operations

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management
Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining a professional attitude
GDC registered
Temporary post for 9 months - may lead to candiate wishing to proceed further and explore possibility of a dental nurse qualification
