Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Contracts Manager to support the delivery of our Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) contracts across our social housing portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor, Contract Coordinator or Compliance Manager looking to progress into a Contracts Management role.
Job Purpose:
The Junior Contracts Manager will support the successful delivery of EICR and electrical compliance contracts, ensuring operational performance, client satisfaction, compliance, and financial targets are achieved.
The role will involve managing engineers and subcontractors, monitoring contract performance, overseeing certification and compliance requirements, liaising with clients, and supporting the Contracts Manager in the day-to-day operation of the contract.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Delivery
- Assist in the management and delivery of EICR programmes and associated remedial works across social housing contracts.
- Support the Contracts Manager in achieving contractual KPIs, service level agreements, and operational targets.
- Monitor contract performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure works are completed within agreed timescales and client requirements.
- Track outstanding works and ensure actions are followed through to completion.
Operational Management
- Manage the day-to-day activities of electrical engineers and subcontractors.
- Monitor engineer attendance, productivity, utilisation, and performance.
- Ensure jobs are completed and closed down correctly within company systems.
- Support workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site visits and quality inspections.
Compliance & Certification
- Ensure EICR certification and remedial documentation are submitted accurately and within required timescales.
- Monitor compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and client specifications.
- Support audits and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure all records and compliance documentation are maintained to a high standard.
Client & Resident Liaison
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, residents, and internal stakeholders.
- Attend client meetings and operational review meetings where required.
- Assist in managing customer complaints and service issues.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained across all areas of the contract.
Commercial & Performance Support
- Assist with monitoring contract costs and performance against budget.
- Support the management of variations, remedial works, and additional works opportunities.
- Provide operational reports and performance updates.
- Help identify efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Health & Safety
- Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture.
- Ensure engineers and subcontractors comply with company policies and safe working practices.
- Support toolbox talks, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of any incidents or near misses.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within Social Housing, Electrical Compliance, Property Maintenance, or Facilities Management.
- Experience managing engineers, subcontractors, or operational teams.
- Knowledge of EICRs, electrical compliance, and remedial works.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and job management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
