The Escapade Group is looking for a creative, hands-on and organised Events Manager to help to deliver our major seasonal events, support holiday entertainment programmes, and manage the external hire of our events field at Hobbledown Heath.
This is a multi-site role, initially focused on Hobbledown Epsom and Hobbledown Heath, with opportunities to support wider Group locations.
You will take approved creative concepts and turn them into fully realised guest experiences — creating immersive photo points, theming and dressing scenes, coordinating entertainment delivery, supporting site teams and ensuring events run smoothly on the ground.
Alongside this, you will manage the commercial hire of the events field at Hobbledown Heath, supporting enquiries, site visits, client communication, operational planning and the smooth delivery of third-party events on site.
This is not just planning. You will help create it, theme it, operate it, deliver it — and support the growth of our external events hire offer.
Working closely with the Head of Events, you will transform approved concepts into immersive, operationally deliverable and commercially controlled experiences across our sites.
You will be responsible for supporting the full event journey, from creative execution and set-up through to live delivery, Duty Management, pack-down and review. You will also act as a key point of contact for external event organisers using the Hobbledown Heath events field, ensuring hires are well planned, professionally delivered and aligned with site standards.
You will:
Create and install immersive photo points and themed environments.
Decorate, paint, dress and theme structures, props and spaces to bring scenes to life.
Oversee installation and finishing across sites, working closely with site teams.
Support entertainment programmes, performer briefings and roaming guest engagement.
Support sites with event briefs, training, schedules, checklists and logistical information.
Manage external events field hire enquiries, site visits and delivery requirements.
Act as a key point of contact for external organisers and hirers.
Coordinate operational requirements for third-party events, including access, set-up, security, compliance and pack-down.
Work within agreed budgets and flag risks, changes or overspend early.
Undertake Duty Management responsibilities during agreed live event periods.
Ensure events launch safely, run smoothly and close efficiently.
Although multi-site, the initial operational focus will be Hobbledown Epsom and Hobbledown Heath.
Translate approved creative concepts into structured, practical and deliverable event plans.
Create, install and dress immersive photo points, themed areas and seasonal event scenes.
Deliver high-quality, on-brand event environments that are visually strong and operationally practical.
Support seasonal and holiday entertainment programmes, including performer coordination, briefings and live delivery.
Brief, train and equip site teams so standard seasonal events can be delivered consistently.
Act as Duty Manager during agreed income-generating events, overseeing live operation and resolving issues in real time.
Manage external events field hire enquiries, site visits, bookings and client communication.
Coordinate third-party event delivery, including access, set-up, site impact, security, compliance and pack-down.
Work with internal teams to assess whether external events are suitable, safe and operationally deliverable.
Coordinate contractors, performers, seasonal staff and site teams during preparation, live delivery and pack-down.
Ensure safe systems of work, required documentation and relevant compliance information are in place.
Deliver organised handovers, efficient set-up and structured pack-down processes.
Support post-event reviews and continuously improve creative quality, guest experience and operational efficiency.

Confident working with teams, performers, contractors and external organisers.
You are likely to have experience in events, entertainment, themed environments, attractions, leisure, venue hire or live event operations. You may also have a performance background or experience working in live entertainment, theatre, character performance, roaming entertainment or guest-facing performance environments.
You are comfortable being present on site during busy seasonal periods, supporting live operation, making practical decisions and keeping teams focused on safe, high-quality delivery.
You understand that strong events need both creativity and control. You can help bring immersive ideas to life, while also managing budgets, logistics, operational requirements, guest experience and site standards.
Flexible and available full time, regular weekend work is required.
