About The Hireman
The Hireman is an independent tool hire company providing construction equipment services to professional contractors across London and the Home Counties. Established in 1985, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent service and support to our customers. Operating from four strategically located depots in Canning Town, Park Royal, Croydon, and Kent, we currently have 100 staff and have plans to grow substantially over the next ten years.
What will I be doing?
As part of our depot team, you will play a key role in cleaning, maintaining and preparing tools, plant and equipment to ensure it meets our high standards before it goes out to customers. Your duties will include:
- Cleaning tools and machinery to a professional standard, from power tools to larger plant equipment
- Performing basic painting and touch-ups
- Replacing stickers and signage on equipment
- General upkeep of plant and machinery to ensure everything is safe and ready for hire
- Assisting colleagues in the yard, warehouse and workshop when needed, including loading and unloading vehicles
Working hours: 10:00am – 2:00pm. This role can be worked 4, or 5 days per week—please specify your preferred number of days when applying.
