Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Team Member to join our new business venture in a crafted burger shop.

We are currently looking for part time hours (18 hours).

Tuesday 17:00 - 22:00

Thursday 17:00 - 22:00

Friday 13:00 - 22:00

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to meal preparation, production and food safety while delivering exceptional service.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Perform various cooking tasks, including grilling, frying, and baking, following established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for all customers.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Support the kitchen team with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure food temperature records are documented and correct procedures are followed for safe food handling.
Fully operate the wash-up area effectively and ensuring any equipment used is throughly cleaned.
Ensure all rubbish is disposed of correctly at all times, following correct waste management.
Complete close down kitchen procedures and ensure the kitchen is always clean and prepared as much as possible for the next shift.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the culinary field.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
