OVERVIEW
Create Destroy Studios is a multi-site creative workspace and dance studio business operating across London. We’re looking for a skilled, reliable contractor with their own van to help us maintain and improve our studios. The role starts at one day per week with consistent, ongoing work — and more shifts are available for the right person. Work ranges from general maintenance and supply runs through to more involved structural and aesthetic improvements.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES
- General maintenance and repairs — fixing, installing, and keeping spaces in good order across all studio sites
- Larger improvement projects — painting, floor laying, carpentry, soundproofing, and aesthetic upgrades
- Installations — smart devices, key safes, smart locks, shelving, mirrors, speakers, panel covers, and similar fixtures
- Basic plumbing — cisterns, skirting, sealing, and general snagging
- Supply runs — collecting and delivering supplies between our Islington office and studio locations across London
- On-site checks — flagging anything that needs attention and reporting back to the operations team with updates and photos
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
✓ Own van — essential for supply runs and moving between sites
✓ Proven experience across general maintenance, carpentry, and/or basic plumbing
✓ Reliable and self-sufficient — able to work independently across multiple locations
✓ Good communicator — comfortable sending updates, photos, and written summaries after visits
✓ Based in London or within easy reach
★ Electrical experience desirable but not essential

PAY & COMMITMENT
Rate £20–£45/hr depending on type of work
Fuel covered for all studio travel
