IT Support Technician

We’re looking for an IT Support Technician to provide first-line technical support across the business, ensuring the reliable operation of IT infrastructure, systems, and service
This is a key role in supporting business operations through effective helpdesk management, user support, asset management, and the promotion of digital workplace solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, company policies, and procedures.
- Actively promote a positive safety culture by identifying and reporting unsafe acts, conditions, and near misses in accordance with company requirements
- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, systems, and business applications across the organisation.
- Take ownership of Helpdesk operations, ensuring support requests are managed effectively and resolved within agreed service levels.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, induction, offboarding, and employee moves, adds, and changes (MAC), maintaining accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual IT asset inventories, including asset tagging and Hybrid Active Directory administration.
- Support and maintain business IT services, including laptops, desktops, telephony systems, printers, conference room technologies, and core business applications.
- Provide user support for key business systems, including Epicor, Agility, Q-Pulse, Microsoft 365, and PowerApps.
- Assist with the delivery of IT projects, system upgrades, and technology improvement initiatives.
- Champion digital workplace technologies and support their successful adoption across the business.
- Deliver project work and continuous improvement activities in line with agreed objectives and departmental priorities.
- Maintain IT technical standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- HND or equivalent qualification in an IT-related discipline.
- Experience working within an IT support or service desk environment.
- Proven experience providing technical support and delivering excellent customer service to end users.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively to deadlines.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good analytical, numeracy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience developing or modifying Microsoft PowerApps.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
