Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Parts Advisor/Storesperson to join our team. This role involves managing the parts inventory, assisting with maintenance tasks, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career within a reputable organisation.

Duties

Maintain accurate stock levels and organise parts storage areas effectively
Assist customers and internal teams with parts enquiries, ensuring clear communication
Process orders using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools
Handle phone enquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing prompt assistance
Support maintenance activities by preparing and distributing necessary parts and tools
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the stores area at all times
Keep detailed records of inventory movements and update stock management systems regularly
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of parts and minimise downtime
Assist in the procurement process by liaising with suppliers as needed

Experience

Previous experience in a parts advisory or storesperson role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet programmes
Basic maintenance knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment
