Full job description

Total Plastic and Building Supplies LTD require a warehouse/driver responsible for working in our warehouse - undertaking duties such as manually loading and unloading materials, operating mechanical loading equipment, preparing materials for customers, and performing deliveries to time schedules given. These duties will involve manual work and at times heavy lifting.

Main Duties and responsibilities

Prompt turnaround of our own vehicles
Provide excellent customer service, serving customers promptly and efficiently
Clean and tidy yard and warehouse
Unload and load incoming and outgoing vehicles
Operating forklift truck (training given)
Assign Materials to the proper yard location
Monitor stock and advise of requirements for ordering
Build relationships with both account and retail customers
Accurate delivery of materials in a timely manner
Taking order requirements from customers in person
Willing to perform and ad-hoc duties as may deemed necessary or as may be required by the company

Skills and Qualities

Experience of working in a similar role within a builders merchants is not essential but would be an advantage
Good Communication skills and telephone manner
Forklift truck licence (not essential as training can be provided)
Must hold a full UK Driving licence
Able to work on own initiative
Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting/manual work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
