Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our Water and Food Testing Laboratory. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory and be capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform chemical analysis of water and food samples using approved test methods.
Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for testing.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
Ensure all testing is carried out in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management requirements.
Record, review, and report analytical results accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
Maintain laboratory records and documentation.
Follow laboratory health, safety, and quality procedures.
Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Water and Food Testing Laboratory.
Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
