Payments & Reconciliation Specialist

Location: Arda Capital Limited, 19 Berkeley Street, London

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (part-time)

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Arda Capital is a bespoke investment management firm based in London, regulated by the FCA. We provide tailored asset management services to a discerning international client base and are expanding our operations team to support our growth and evolving needs.

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payments & Reconciliation Specialist to own the firm's daily payment and reconciliation processes. This is a hands-on, process-critical role: you will be responsible for entering and processing payments accurately and on time, and for performing the daily reconciliation of cash, positions and transactions across our custodians and internal systems. The role suits someone with prior experience in payments, cash operations, or reconciliation within financial services who is comfortable owning a process end-to-end and escalating discrepancies promptly.

Key Responsibilities

● Perform daily reconciliation of cash and positions across custodian statements, bank accounts and internal systems, investigating and resolving breaks promptly

● Enter, process and verify client and firm payments accurately and within required deadlines

● Liaise with custodians and banking partners (e.g. Coutts & Co. Bank, Goldman Sachs Asset Management) to resolve payment queries and reconciliation discrepancies

● Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all payments and reconciliation activity

● Identify, log and escalate reconciliation breaks or payment exceptions in line with internal procedures

● Support month-end and period-end reconciliation processes and reporting

● Assist with reviewing and organising incoming and outgoing invoices

● Contribute to the ongoing improvement of payment and reconciliation controls and procedures

● Support wider operations team with ad hoc administrative and operational duties as required

Ideal Candidate

● Previous experience in payments, accounting, cash reconciliation, or operations within financial services

● Strong attention to detail and a methodical, controls-focused approach to work

● Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, data entry, formatting) and comfort working across multiple systems

● Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet daily deadlines

● Clear, professional communication skills for liaising with custodians and internal stakeholders

● Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive financial information

● Familiarity with custodian platforms or reconciliation tools is an advantage
