Job Summary
As our newly opened independent veterinary practicd continues to thrive, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic team. We pride ourselves on our high clinical standards, strong client relationships and our close knit team bond. In this role, you will deliver high-quality nursing care, support our 2 experienced vets in clinical procedures, and ensure the well-being of our patients. Your enthusiasm and expertise will contribute to creating a compassionate environment where animals and their owners feel confident and cared for. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
- Monitor anesthesia, administer medications, and provide post-operative care to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret results to aid accurate diagnoses
- Educate pet owners on health, nutrition, and treatment plans to promote ongoing animal wellness
- Maintain accurate medical records, update patient histories, and manage clinical documentation efficiently
- Support the day-to-day running of the practice by ensuring cleanliness, sterilisation of equipment, and stock management
- Provide compassionate support to clients and their pets throughout their visit, fostering trust and reassurance
Skills
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong understanding of clinical procedures and animal handling
- Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis to support diagnostics
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate clients and collaborate with team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for animals and client service excellence
