Full job description

At Robert Frith Optometrists we are dedicated to providing exceptional eyecare. We pride ourselves on creating a friendly, welcoming environment where our patients feel valued and cared for. We are looking for an organised and reliable Optical Receptionist to join our small friendly team. As an Optical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will:

Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service in person and by telephone.
Schedule and manage appointments efficiently.
Maintain accurate patient records and handle confidential information with discretion.
Process payments and handle billing enquiries.
Support the dispensing optician with basic repairs, adjustments and frame selection (training will be provided).
Support the optometrist by carrying out screening tests when necessary (training will be provided).
Be able to work on Saturdays.

We are looking for:

Previous experience in reception, administration and customer service is preferred. Optical experience preferred but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organised with attention to detail.
Works well as part of a team and confident lone working.
Friendly, professional and approachable.
Good IT skills
