Finance Officer/ Book keeper
Service Area:
L*ine Manager*: Executive Director
Full Time / Part Time: part time (3 days per week)
Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm
Job Purpose: To Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes. Production and analysis of figures for the accountants for Year end.
Responsibilities:
MAIN DUTIES:
- Prepare Year end accounts to be sent to the Companies auditors
- Assist with preparation of the budget
- Ensure that all expenses are within assigned budgets
- Prepare payroll information to be sent to the company accountant
- Implement financial policies and procedures
- Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Monitor cash reserves and investments
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Establish and maintain supplier accounts; processes supplier invoices
- Maintain the purchase order system
- process online payments for all accounts due
- Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system (Dext/ Xero)
- Ensure data integrity in all financial reporting on Xero
- Perform finance analysis and reporting tasks
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, expense reports, etc
- Prepare student tuition and boarding invoices, monitor income and issue receipts, as required in a timely manner
- Collate and log information relating to expenses incurred by students (fines. Excursions etc)
- Carry out all duties with an awareness and understanding of the Safeguarding requirements within the area of responsibility. Work complies with all safeguarding policies and procedures that apply to the role. Behaviours and actions support the safeguarding of children, young people or adults with care and support needs as appropriate.

Experience in preparing management reports - Essential
Experience of working as a team member - Essential

Pay: From £26,671.28 per year
