Full job description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health Care NHS T, MSK Service - Integrated Community Services

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday

Trust Location: Evesham Community Hospital Waterside, Evesham WR11 1JT

Work Type: Temporary

What you’ll be responsible for:

1. Undertake administration duties that are specific to the role.

2. Provide administrative support as required, e.g. typing, data inputting, filing, scanning/copying and telefaxing, in line with Trust Policies and Procedures.

3. Answer/deal with both face-to-face and telephone enquiries. Deal with incoming and outgoing post.

4. Undertake reception duties, if and when required, to cover for staff absences.

5. Answer/deal with both face-to-face and telephone enquiries in a tactful and professional manner, recording any messages efficiently and passing them to the relevant individual in an appropriate and timely manner.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

Skills:

· Microsoft office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel.

· Ability to use own initiative and attention to detail.

· Excellent administrative experience and great organization skills.

· Knowledge or experience of using RIO.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
