The Right Broker was founded in 2015, we are a family owned business based in Knowle, Solihull. We advise on all areas of Financial Services. Our brokers are nationally based, fully qualified and have years of experience in financial services.
Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Training & Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience carrying out a similar role within Financial Services and must be CeMAP qualified or equivalent.
The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis and will be required to be available to work from our Head Office in Knowle, if and when required. This is a minimum of 1 day a month.

Requirements of a Training & Development Manager
- Full CeMAP or MAQ
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Coaching, mentoring and people management skills
- Good team player, but with the ability to work under own initiative
- The ability to analyse information with a view to making informed decisions
- Competent on Microsoft office suite i.e. excel, word etc.
Desirable, but not required:
- A protection qualification although not essential, would be desirable
Responsibilities of a Training & Development Manager
- To maintain a primary point of contact and solid relationship with Registered Individuals and to manage the Training and Competence (T&C) program to ensure compliance to Network’s standards.
- To supervise, instruct, coach and monitor individuals, producing reports and individual training/development plans ensuring all outstanding actions are completed within agreed timescales.
- To undertake guidance visits and identify areas where Registered Individuals can improve their standards and associated risk ratings and accurately record any findings and corrective activity.
- To be responsible for implementing and monitoring Representatives KPIs with the objective to increase sales volumes in existing and new product areas.
- To act in the capacity as supervisor for individuals as directed by business need and to progress these to Competent Adviser Status.
- To recruit suitable Registered Individuals into The Right Broker that fit within the Company’s scope of FCA authorisation.
Salary of a Training & Development Manager
- £30,000 - £36,000 a year dependant on experience, meaning to receive the higher end of the salary banding you must have done a similar role in a Financial Services Network previously.
Working pattern of a Training & Development Manager
- Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm.
- The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis and will be required to be available to work from our Head Office in Knowle, if and when required. This is a minimum of 1 day a month.
