Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medicines Counter Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various tasks related to patient care and pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all customer interactions are handled with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries regarding medications and services.
Hand out prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Provide information on medication administration and usage to patients as needed.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all products are well-stocked and displayed appropriately.
Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering supplies when necessary.
Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism, striving for resolution.
Uphold cleanliness and safety standards within the counter area, adhering to health regulations.
Will be required to work extra hours and some Saturdays to cover colleague holidays when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in a community pharmacy is required, with a minimum of an NVQ2 qualification and has completed the MCA course.
Familiarity with patient care practices and medication administration is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (in English, Gujarati and Hindi) with customers and team members.
A commitment to providing high-quality service in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required.
