Due to company expansion a number of roles have opened for semi-skilled to fully Skilled Auto Electrician
The role is workshop based at any of our site in Bristol, Exeter or Swindon.
The Principal Duties of this role are as follows
1. Experience in installing aftermarket equipment into new and used vehicles ideally emergency service vehicle.
2. Knowledge in using various diagnostic equipment advantageous.
3. Must have good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and be able to diagnose basic and complex faults. Having either qualifications in Auto Electrics and or over 5 years of experience.
4. City and Guilds, NVQ Qualifications in vehicle electrics or main dealer/manufacturer equivalents will be very useful however having worked in the industry for a number of years can replace this credential.
5. An ideal candidate would be familiar with working with the following areas of the emergency services.
a. Control Unit such as the Standby/Carnation MCS/Genasys control units
b. ANPR systems such as Cleartone
c. Screen integration knowledge such as Standby
d. CAN-bus integration systems such as CANM8
e. Knowledge of secure radio systems such as Sepura and Moterolla

- Talking to customers
- Liaising with Service department
- Admin – Recording of Time, parts and labour
Details
1. Hours: std 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
2. Annual pay is from £40,000 - £55,000 without overtime.
3. Overtime is paid at 1.5 x time and 2 x time (Currently lots available)
4. Other Benefits – Extra holiday and Sick pay after qualifying period
