Hanbury-Autogil Ltd are recruiting for a competent, dynamic and versatile CNC Miller Programmer/Toolmaker/Machinist to work for our well established and rapidly expanding engineering company based in Newton Abbot, Devon.
We have a highly experienced team who specialise in the design and manufacture of converting automation equipment, which now has a focus on PPE Machines and laser technology. Due to this, the post is an exciting and dynamic position that would suit someone who is flexible and thrives in a busy environment.
We are planning a move to brand new, purpose-built premises in the next few years, creating further exciting prospects for the company and the potential for further development of this role.
This role would suit a candidate with a wide cross-section of CNC and manual machining skills to enable the manufacture of simple parts through to more complex tight tolerance components. Candidates with some, but not necessarily all of the desired skills below, will be considered.
We are looking to fill two roles, one on our day shift and one on our late shift to enable the most efficient use of our machines and ensure maximum productivity.
Essential Requirements:
- CNC Programming and/or milling experience
- Must be a skilled and experienced engineer
- Must be able to read and interpret detailed drawings to manufacture precision parts, from one-offs to small batches.
- Must be able to set-up quickly and be confident with metal removal as there are a high number of small batch components used in the assembly of our special purpose machines.
Desirable Skills:
- The ideal candidate would be time served and may have completed a full engineering apprenticeship.
- Toolmaking skills including the assembly of die-sets encompassing punches and dies.
- CAD/CAM knowledge
- Knowledge of Fanuc software.
- Mechanical fitting skills would be advantageous to support the mechanical assembly of machines within our Autogil workshop.
- A knowledge of Hurco Centres with Ultimax software and Siemens Shopmill
Hours of Work:
Day Shift; Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 16.30, Friday 18.00 – 15.30 (30-minute unpaid meal break). Total 39 hours per week.
Hourly Rate:
We will offer the right candidate a competitive rate of pay, depending on experience
Holidays:
5 weeks per annum plus Bank Holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£21.00 per hour
