We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Retail / Warehouse Assistant to join our busy uniform shop in Exmouth.
This is a very hands-on role, you will be on the move throughout the day, working between the shop floor, warehouse and production areas. A big part of the role will involve heat pressing garments, preparing customer orders, moving and replenishing stock, and helping keep everything running smoothly during our busiest season.
You do not need previous experience in heat pressing or garment production, as full training will be provided. What matters most is that you are hardworking, organised, practical and happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing.
We are a very busy school uniform and workwear shop, so this role would suit someone who enjoys being active, can work through task lists independently and is happy to be part of a team where everyone works hard.
What you’ll be doing
- Heat pressing garments, with full training provided
- Embroidery of garments (full training provided)
- Preparing garments ready for printing and pressing
- Checking finished garments for quality and accuracy
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
- Replenishing stock between the warehouse and shop floor
- Moving stock, unpacking deliveries and keeping stock areas organised
- Supporting the warehouse and production areas during busy periods
- Helping customers in-store when needed
- Supporting click and collect and online order collections
- Keeping the shop floor, warehouse and work areas tidy and organised
- Helping with basic admin, emails and day-to-day tasks

- Can move between different tasks and work areas confidently
- Is organised and able to follow task lists independently
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Can work quickly while still maintaining accuracy
- Is happy to help across the shop, warehouse and production areas
- Stays calm and positive during busy periods
- Is willing to learn new skills and follow processes
Retail, warehouse or production experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided.
