Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and confident Part-Time Front of House Shift Leader to support the daily running of our busy and vibrant café. This is a hands-on role combining leadership, customer service and barista work, ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth service, supporting and managing the team, and maintaining high standards across both service and food quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise front of house team members during shifts to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations
- Open and/or close the café as a key holder
- Support smooth service flow, including managing seating, walk-ins and busy periods
- Make high-quality drinks as a barista and assist with general food service when required
- Maintain consistent standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation across the café
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and positive manner
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth communication
- Support stock management, including monitoring supplies and assisting with orders where needed
- Work closely with the owner for daily updates, planning and operational improvements
- Assist with training and supporting junior team members to build a strong, positive team culture

Hours
Part-time role with some flexibility required (can be discussed at interview), including Saturdays (No Sundays!)
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
