37.5 hours a week (worked over a 3 week rota pattern)
- Week 1 – Wednesday 09.30 – 18.30, Thursday and Friday 08.00 -17.00
- Week 2 – Monday, to Friday - 08.00-17.00
- Week 3 – Monday to Friday – 08.00 -17.00 & Saturday and Sunday 09.30-18.30

Fire Fighters Charity delivers specialist health and wellbeing information and support to enable a healthier and happier UK fire services community.
We have a vacancy for an Estate Worker to join our small Estates Team at Harcombe House, in Chudleigh, near Exeter. Harcombe House is a beautiful example of a Grade II listed building set in 300 acres of stunning grounds easily commutable from Newton Abbot and within easy reach of Exeter.

About the role
As an Estate Worker, your role is vital in ensuring our recovery centre and beautiful grounds are maintained to the highest standard. Working as part of a team you will have a shared responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of Harcombe House, compromising of the main house, outbuildings, bungalow park, fishing lakes, gardens and surrounding estate.
Your day will be varied, and you will be undertaking a typical range of maintenance and grounds activities that you would find when looking after buildings and an estate set on 300 acres.
About You
This is a fabulous opportunity to join us. It is important that you take pride in your work and will need a good practical level of maintenance skills, have experience using handheld tools, including strimmer’s, mowers and blowers and a flexible approach to the operational demands that come with working on a large site. Your positive attitude and approach will help ensure the upkeep of our recovery centre remains a relaxing and peaceful environment for those staying with us.
Experience of working in a similar estates and facilities environment would be beneficial. To complement our current team, we are keen to hear from applicants who have gardening skills and experience, in addition to maintenance skills as the role and tasks are varied.
H&S, COSHH and manual handling training would also be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.
