Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake replacements, engine diagnostics, and tire services
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Document all work performed accurately in service records and communicate findings clearly to team members or customers
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Support the team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and ensuring tools are properly stored after use
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues effectively
- Proficiency in using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (drills, impact wrenches)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate diagnostics and quality repairs
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and explain technical information clearly
- Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on automotive technologies, yearly planned training is organised through Tec topics Bridgewater
- Must be currently working in a garage
- Fully qualified
