Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist and Therapist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting diagnosis and treatment planning, and promoting oral health education. Duties
- Conduct thorough dental examinations, including the assessment of oral health status and the utilisation of medical imaging techniques.
- Perform professional cleaning procedures, including scaling and polishing, to prevent and treat periodontal disease.
- GBT
- Assist with treatment planning by providing detailed patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support dentists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout.
- Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools for designing dental appliances or restorations as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments performed and observations made during examinations.
- Operate specialised equipment safely, including those used for medical imaging and diagnostic purposes.
- Uphold strict infection control protocols and ensure the clinical environment remains clean and organised.
- Promote oral health awareness through community outreach programmes and patient education initiatives.
Qualifications
- recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in a clinical dental setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment use.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral structures is essential for accurate assessment and treatment.
- Familiarity with CAD software applications utilised within dental practice is advantageous.
- Competence in interpreting medical imaging results to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
- Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) is mandatory for practising in the UK.
