About us

OCVS is an independent HGV and Commercial vehicle garages in Manchester. Due to continued success winning new blue chip contract clients, we are looking for a HGV Fitter/Technician to join our friendly Team. OCVS carry out the following services; HGV Fitting, Body Shop Repairs, Breakdown Recovery and Fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard.
Other duties will include diagnostic work, preparation for MOT’s, running repairs, roadside breakdown and recovery, welding, completion of paperwork and accurate maintenance of records.
Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
Working with colleagues and other departments to ensure a seamless service for customers

Key Competencies:

Strong communication skills
Strong mechanical knowledge
Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
HGV C / C+E an advantage
Strong working ethic and the ability to work within a team
You will thrive in a driven and fast paced environment

Additional Details:

· Monday to Friday 6.30am to 4.00pm (depending on business needs)
