Job Role – Solar Panel Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance Technician
Location – based in Norfolk with ability to travel nationally on a regular basis
Clearsol is a rapidly growing specialist Operations & Maintenance provider for commercial and industrial Solar PV systems. We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent team member who is happy to turn their hand to a variety of O&M tasks but with a majority focus on solar PV cleaning and grounds maintenance
Please only respond to this role is you are happy to commit to being away from home for significant parts of the week.
Responsibilities
· Assist with logistics of moving equipment to sites across the UK – MEWPs, vans, machinery etc
· Operate complex cleaning equipment for a wide variety of sites including rotary brushes and complex cleaning robots
· Manage water requirements for specific sites
· Assist with other O&M tasks including elements of maintenance inspections and remedial work on site, vegetation management, herbicide etc.
Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Previous experience of working in Ground Maintenance, land management or agricultural is essential.
Work Skills:
Essential;
- Full UK driving license.
- Trailer towing experience
- Strimmer and brush cutter experience/certificate.
- Good IT skills and confidence in Microsoft Office and use of a tablet computer.
- Experience using heavy duty flails.
Desirable;
- Chainsaw License.
- Tractor driving experience.
- PA1, PA6, PA2.
- Excavator license.
- Telehandler.
General Skills/Attributes:
- Good, professional communicator on telephone and via email.
- Happy working as part of a team as well as being confident working solo. *Majority of time will be spent working unaccompanied, self-motivation & communication with work colleagues is key.
- Use of Initiative & organized when forward planning workload.
- Good time management.
- Problem-solving & can-do attitude.
- Proficient in the use of smart phone apps, emails and able to pick up computer systems quickly.
- Being able & willing to stay away over multiple nights when needed.
Desirable / relevant but not essential
· First Aid at Work
· IPAF Licence
· Working at Height qualifications
· Experience within the Solar PV industry
· Experience with drones
