We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser/Counter Assistant to join our Fakenham Pharmacy team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner. You will play a crucial role in patient care by providing exceptional service and support to both patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist in the management of inventory, ensuring that all medications are stocked and stored properly.
- Provide information to patients regarding their prescriptions, including dosage instructions and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to medication administration.
- Address any patient inquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices and regulations.
- Duties
- Greet and assist customers at the counter with professionalism and courtesy.
- Process prescriptions and manage medication orders accurately.
- Provide information to patients regarding medications, including usage and potential side effects.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all medications are stored correctly and safely.
- Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and checking for expired medications.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
