Accounts Assistant

The Converters Home Improvement Group

Location: Dunfermline, Fife

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000+ Monthly Company Performance Bonus
Full-Time | Permanent

Job Overview
The Converters Home Improvement Group have a number of brands within their group, We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in a timely manner.

This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees.
Utilise accounting software, Xero for efficient record-keeping.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits as required.

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Accounts.
Proficiency in accounting software is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are required.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
