Responsibilities
- Installing solar PV panels on diverse roof types, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
- Assisting with the preparation of roofing surfaces and ensuring weatherproofing standards are met
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues effectively
- Collaborating with electrical teams to ensure safe integration of solar systems into existing electrical infrastructure
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations during installation and maintenance activities
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance on installed systems to optimise performance
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing, particularly with flat or pitched roofs suitable for solar panel installation
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools in construction settings
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to structural supports and mounting hardware
- Electrical experience or background is highly desirable, especially related to photovoltaic systems or general electrical wiring
- Strong understanding of safety protocols within construction and renewable energy environments
