Full job description

An amazing opportunity is available within our Hotel Reception Department for a part time receptionist based around 2 shifts per week but also increasing throughout the year to cover illness and holiday coverage.

We would consider a full time position for the right candidate though, depending upon experience.

As a member of our dedicated team, you will be part of the Front Desk Team and one of the first points of contact for all our guests and visitors.

The ideal candidate needs to be a professional, motivated individual with hotel experience who is a self – starter and can work independently as you will be a sole worker but surrounded by other members of the various departments here.

We are always willing to train though so, if you’ve worked in a similar customer service position this would be a great opportunity for you to learn the hotel industry.

A high standard of spoken & written English is required with outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills are needed for this position. This position requires you to have a car as due to the nature of our shifts public transportation cannot be used due to opening and closing times.

You will be spending most of your day dealing with a wide variety of guests and visitors so you will be interacting with people who have different personalities and needs.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

welcome and greet guests
answer and direct incoming calls
inform guests of hotel rates and services
make and confirm reservations for guests
ensure proper room allocation
register and check guests in and out
maintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookings
listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone
liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests
complete and maintain any incident reports, daily activity reports or other reports requested by management
review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process
process accurate payment of guest account

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Need to be fully flexible and available 7 days a week and work an opening shift which is 6:30am to 2:00pm or a closing shift which is 2:00pm to 10:30pm.
