Pay Rate: £27,551.38
Grade: RCS P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday 40 Hrs but can be flexible on start times.
Location: Peterborough PE7

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Clerk to join a fast-paced and dynamic transport operation. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, legal, and efficient running of our transport function, supporting the Duty FLM and Transport Manager with all administrative and operational requirements.

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

Support First Line Managers (FLMs) with the accurate and timely briefing and debriefing of drivers
Ensure Health & Safety compliance, promoting and maintaining the highest standards across operations
Prepare and reconcile delivery paperwork, including Proofs of Delivery (PODs)
Manage Tachomaster administration and reporting
Support DHL training processes and licence checking
Ensure vehicle history files are maintained and up to date
Provide general administration support for both the fleet and driver teams

✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment desirable
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
Computer literate, confident using systems and transport software
A proactive team player with good communication skills
Ambitious and motivated
Are friendly and can build a good rapport with drivers
