About the role
MSL Global delivers high‑impact experiential brand activations for some of the world’s most recognisable brands. We are recruiting a Business Development Manager (New Business) to establish and lead our outbound sales function - a newly created role with direct influence on our future growth.
This is a pure hunter role focused on generating new opportunities with corporate brands and agencies. You will work closely with our Managing Director to shape our outbound strategy, build a strong pipeline, and open new doors for the business. The role is field‑based, with regular travel to client meetings and industry events, and visits to our Alton offices, as and when required.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead outbound prospecting across phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking.
- Generate new business appointments through proactive outreach.
- Research and map key decision‑makers within target sectors.
- Pu together proposals and pitch decks and deliver credentials presentations.
- Lead discovery meetings and capture accurate client requirements.
- Brief internal teams and hand over secured opportunities.
- Build and maintain a structured CRM pipeline with accurate tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to align outbound activity with growth plans.
- Collaborate with Client Services, Creative and Finance teams.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a B2B hunter‑style sales role.
- Ability to generate your own appointments without inbound support.
- Strong experience researching markets and identifying decision‑makers.
- Confident delivering presentations and early‑stage sales conversations.
- Advanced PowerPoint/Keynote skills for proposal deck creation.
- Highly proficient with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
- Commercially astute, with strong briefing and communication skills.
- Resilient, proactive, and motivated by outbound activity.
- Comfortable helping to establish a new function within the business.
Desirable:
- Experience in experiential marketing, live events, brand activations, or creative agencies.
- Interest in the events and experiential marketing industry (automotive interest a bonus).
- Existing network of corporate marketing or agency contacts.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable with regular travel to client meetings and events.
