Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to staff management, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Manage food production schedules to meet service times efficiently
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
Train and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional development and skill enhancement
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimise kitchen operations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety legislation

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Excellent team management skills, capable of motivating staff and fostering teamwork
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on high-quality service
Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Good understanding of food production processes and menu planning
Ability to serve as a role model for professionalism and culinary excellence
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and management effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
