Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Hand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality animal care, maintaining cleanliness within the kennels, and supporting the team. Responsibilities
- Assisting with the daily care and cleaning to a high standard of animals in the kennels, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort
- Feeding animals according to prescribed schedules and dietary requirements
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels and surrounding areas to maintain hygiene standards
- Monitoring animals for signs of illness or distress and reporting observations to staff
- Handling animals safely:
- Supporting team with administrative tasks such as record pet information.
- Assisting with heavy lifting when moving supplies or equipment around the facility
- Providing excellent customer service by answering client questions courteously and professionally
- Experience
- Previous experience or animal care background is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of animal behaviour and handling techniques is advantageous
- Experience in customer service roles is beneficial, demonstrating strong communication skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is required
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and a caring attitude are essential qualities for success in this role
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
