Kearl Groundworks & Construction are looking for skilled Groundworkers/Plant Operators for various construction projects in the Haselmere/Midhurst area
Responsibilities & duties:
- Site preparation and clearing including setting out and levelling of work areas
- Excavating and backfilling trenches
- Laying foundations for various types of structures
- Installing drainage systems
- Assisting with concrete pouring and finishing
- Laying kerbs and slabs, driveways
- Assisting with the construction of roads, paths, and car parks
- Operate a variety of plant machinery and vehicles, such as, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Telehandlers, etc.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in groundworks.
- Follow health and safety regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements, skills & qualifications:
- Must have a Driving Licence and own vehicle
- Must have 3+ years proven experience as a Groundworker with expertise in drainage and foundations
- Must have experience operating Excavators and Dumpers
- Ideally hold a valid CPCS/NPORS card
- Ideally hold tickets for plant machinery and vehicles, such as, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Telehandlers, etc. but not essential, as we can provide the relevant training
- Knowledge of construction processes and techniques
- Ability to Interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Have self-employed status and registered for CIS
