Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Furniture Removalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting furniture and household items, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in delivery, warehouse operations, or mechanical knowledge to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Safely load and unload furniture and household items onto lorries, including flatbed trucks where necessary
Transport goods to various locations, adhering to scheduled delivery times
Secure items properly to prevent damage during transit
Assist with the packing and unpacking of furniture at both pick-up and drop-off sites
Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with road safety regulations
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and special instructions
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and work area
Assist with warehouse organisation and inventory management as required

Qualifications

Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Previous experience as a delivery driver or furniture removalist preferred
Knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles is advantageous
Experience operating flatbed trucks or similar large vehicles is desirable
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
Warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential
Ability to lift heavy furniture safely and work physically demanding hours
Familiarity with warehouse organisation and handling equipment is a plus

This role requires a dedicated individual capable of working efficiently in a physically demanding environment while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day
