We are seeking an experienced Shunter Driver to join our Transport Department in our new premises in Witham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the yard , allocating drivers and vehicles to bays as well as maneuvering containers and trailers on and off the bays. You will be liaising closely with the warehouse and transport teams.
The site boosts 22 loading bays and parking for 45 containers , the work will be carried out using a Terberg tug vehicle. Full PPE will be provided.
Must have HGV Cat C+E license
The hours will be alternative early and late 10 hour shifts.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a busy transport or warehouse environment.
- Demonstrable experience in manual handling and understanding of best practices.
- Experience operating mobile plant equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. (Desirable)
- Experience in shunting vehicles within a yard or manufacturing setting. (Desirable)
- Basic level of computer literacy
