We’re excited to welcome an Assistant Chef to support the preparation of nutritious, restaurant-quality meals at 14 Montague Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk, IP11 7HF, without the long hours or split shifts often found in hospitality. Working alongside the Chef Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high standards of food, presentation, and dining experience within a calm, well-structured kitchen environment.

Your role
- Deliver a high-quality catering service that meets individual needs, including special diets
- Enjoy a better work-life balance with no late nights or split shifts, giving you more time for yourself
- Help plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for customers
- Promote and maintain food hygiene and safety standards
- Keep risk assessments up to date and ensure the kitchen is cleaned to a high standard
- Monitor and order stock, receive deliveries and work independently when needed
This position would also suit a Line Cook, Cook, Assistant Cook or Commis Chef.
Your skills
- Experience working in a catering environment and cooking for different groups
- Valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and confidence using catering equipment
- Friendly and approachable with great communication skills
- Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent knowledge
