Our spa sits at the heart of the guest experience, providing a peaceful escape with treatment rooms, an outdoor hot tub, outdoor sauna, steam room and relaxation facilities.
We're looking for an experienced Spa Manager to lead the day-to-day operation while helping shape the future of our wellness offering.
This isn't a role for someone looking to simply maintain what's already there. We know there's work to be done - and that's exactly where you come in.
You'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the spa, from refining the guest journey and treatment menu to reviewing product houses, developing new wellness experiences and contributing towards future refurbishment and investment plans. You'll work closely with the wider leadership team, with opportunities to become involved across the wider Retreat East business.

Summary
Spa Manager
Retreat East – Hemingstone, Suffolk
£35,000 - £38,000 per year + performance bonus + monthly tips
Full-time | Permanent | 45 hours per week
As Spa Manager you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of the spa operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences whilst driving commercial performance.
Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the spa and wellness facilities
- Managing, coaching and developing the spa team
- Delivering treatments to the highest professional standards when required
- Managing rotas, bookings, stock control and supplier relationships
- Driving treatment, retail and spa revenue
- Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and guest satisfaction
- Developing new spa packages, wellness experiences and seasonal offers
- Reviewing and evolving the treatment menu and product partnerships
- Maintaining exceptional presentation, cleanliness and compliance throughout the spa
- Working collaboratively with the hotel, restaurant and events teams to maximise guest experience and revenue opportunities
- Playing an active role in the continued evolution of the Retreat East wellness offering
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who combines strong operational leadership with commercial thinking.
You'll ideally have:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Spa Manager within a luxury spa, hotel or wellness environment
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapy
- Experience delivering a range of face and body treatments
- A proven track record of growing spa revenue and delivering commercial success
- A strong understanding of luxury guest service
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- High standards, attention to detail and pride in maintaining exceptional facilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to roll your sleeves up
- Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods
- Due to our rural location, applicants will need access to their own transport
