Full job description

Job Title: Clinical Support Team Administrator

Hours: 30 hours per week Monday & Tuesday and any 2 days between Wednesday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Location: Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust

Trust Location: Mariner House, 43 Handford Road, Ipswich, IP1 2GA

Contract Type: Temporary for 3 months.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Provide accurate, prompt and efficient secretarial/administrative support to the clinical multi disciplinary team which may include spreadsheets and reports.·

Deal with and process all types of patient referrals liaising directly with General Practitioners, clinical staff including medical staff from other areas.

Handle telephone calls and general enquiries and maintain an efficient message system co ordinating with team members.

Use set procedures to undertake administrative and secretarial functions around legislative procedures i.e. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act.

Use electronic systems to input and access information as required by the clinical multi-disciplinary team.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Previous experience of taking minutes.

· Strong administrative background

· High standard of customer service, ensuring dignity, respect and confidentiality

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
