Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their career within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Prior pharmacy technician experience and knowledge of medication administration are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with doctor’s instructions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries related to medication usage and storage
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as needed
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation at all times
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient medication plans and support medication administration processes

Experience

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is highly advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in dispensing medications
Excellent communication skills to effectively support patients and collaborate with healthcare team members
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
