This role is essential in ensuring our residents have clean, fresh, and well‑cared‑for clothing and linen, contributing to a comfortable and dignified living environment.

Location: Woodland Grove, Rectory Lane, Loughton IG10 3RU

Hours: 25 hours per week

Pay: £13.20 per hour

Contract: Part-time, Permanent

Shift: Monday to Friday 3pm-8pm

What you will be doing:

Washing, drying, ironing, and folding residents’ clothing and care home linen.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the laundry area.
Ensuring laundry is clearly labelled and returned promptly to the correct residents.
Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently and supporting infection control procedures and COSHH guidelines.
Supporting the wider housekeeping team when required.
Working as part of a friendly team that puts residents’ wellbeing first.

What you need:

A positive, can-do attitude.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and respect for residents’ personal belongings.
Previous housekeeping experience (care home experience is desirable but not essential).
A warm and respectful approach when working in residents’ personal spaces.
