Veterinary Receptionist / Animal Care Assistant
Full or Part time considered | Competitive Salary (Dependent on Experience)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Veterinary Receptionist / Animal Care Assistant to join our dedicated team within a very fast-paced and progressive small animal practice.
This is a varied and rewarding role combining exceptional client care with hands-on support for our clinical team. As the first point of contact for our clients and an important part of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring both pets and their owners receive the highest standard of service and support.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Reception Duties
- Delivering a professional, friendly, and empathetic service to clients and their pets.
- Managing appointments, telephone enquiries, and client communications efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and processing payments.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area.
Animal Care Assistant Duties
- Assisting veterinary surgeons and nurses with the care of patients.
- Preparing and maintaining clinical areas to the highest standards.
- Providing care and comfort to hospitalised patients under the direction of the veterinary team.
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, infection control, and stock management.
- Undertaking general housekeeping duties to ensure the practice runs efficiently.
Previous experience in a veterinary environment would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right individual.
