ETC, established in 1989, is an International College providing courses to students from all over the world.
ETC is looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to co-ordinate student accommodation bookings in homestays, our on-site residence and external residence options.
The accommodation department is a fast-paced environment so we are looking for someone able to work within a team and work well under pressure.
Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential for the role to enable you to liaise effectively and diplomatically with students, staff, agents and accommodation providers.
Out of season (September to May), the schedule is Monday to Friday. Peak summer season (June - August) the schedule is Thursday to Monday, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. The role includes taking the Out of Hours phone on a rota year-round, which attracts overtime. Additional evening and weekend work may be required to fulfil the duties of the role.
Candidate Profile (essential):
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn in-house database systems quickly
- Exceptional customer service, communication and problem solving skills
- Must be highly motivated and able to work well within a team and under pressure
- Must have a high level of written and spoken English
Desirable, but not essential:
- Previous experience in customer service
Main responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate and place bookings in suitable accommodation for student clients and group leaders.
- Prepare and send necessary documentation for confirmation of bookings.
- Recruit and inspect homestays and process documentation.
- Liaise effectively and diplomatically with accommodation providers.
- Welcome students, answer queries and refer problems to other, appropriate staff members when necessary.
- Officiate group arrivals at predetermined collection points, particularly during group arrivals and summer periods.
- Liaise with the Lead Safeguarding Officer regarding safeguarding matters and with the rest of the accommodation and welfare team, academic team and management regarding general student welfare, health and safety.
- Keep the accommodation databases up-to-date and accurate, in-keeping with GDPR
- Counsel students and assist in the resolution of accommodation and welfare issues

- Monday to Friday (low season) / Thursday to Monday (peak season: summer)
