Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, a calm demeanour, and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role offers an engaging opportunity to work within a dynamic setting, providing essential security services while delivering exceptional customer care. This is working in our venue as a pub/bar/event space.

Duties

Monitor and control access points to the venue, ensuring only authorised individuals enter
On occassions perform thorough bag checks and utilise metal detectors where necessary to prevent unauthorised items from entering the premises
Maintain a visible security presence to deter unlawful or disruptive behaviour
Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including conflicts or emergencies, following established protocols
Assist with loss prevention by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting any concerns to management
Provide first aid assistance when required, demonstrating calmness and professionalism in emergency situations
Record detailed incident reports accurately and promptly as part of ongoing security documentation
Enforce venue policies in a courteous yet firm manner, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Experience

Previous experience in security or a related role is advantageous but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations tactfully and professionally
A responsible attitude with a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all visitors and staff

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
