CAT seeks a Project Administrator for the Trio’r Llanw/Turning the Tide project to be assist in the smooth running of the project taking responsibility for all administration duties, working as part of a team of six.

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is an internationally renowned environmental charity, a world-leading eco centre, and one of the foremost providers of postgraduate environmental education in the UK, based near Machynlleth in Mid Wales.
CAT provides inspiration, education and training in solutions to the climate and biodiversity emergency.
Key activities include a visitor centre where groups can see solutions in action, residential short courses, vocational training and postgraduate degrees in a wide range of sustainability-related topics, with online courses and events offered alongside in-person learning.
This role is funded as part of the Troi’r Llanw / Turning the Tide project, which is funded thanks to the Climate Action Fund, a long-term commitment from The National Lottery Community Fund to support communities across the UK to act on climate change and involve more people in positive environmental action.

Hours: 0.6 FTE 22.5 hrs per week
Working Days:. Usually Monday to Friday, Occasional weekend work, Flexi working considered
Salary and employee benefits:
£24,960 p.a. pro rata (£14976)

Overview of Role
Troi’r Llanw / Turning The Tide is a three-year, Wales-wide initiative aimed at inspiring, informing, and enabling practical community-level responses to climate change and environmental sustainability. We envision a future where community-based climate action is mainstreamed, where marginalised voices benefit from and shape environmental decisions, and where people feel hopeful and empowered in the face of the climate crisis.
This is a Partnership project with CAT as Lead Partner.
Main Purpose and Responsibilities
· Carry out accurate data entry of enquiry, booking and communication information and maintain essential record systems and data returns.
· Deal with project enquiries both online, by phone and in person.

· Liaise with trainer/facilitators as required over tuition and teaching resources.
· Liaise with project partners as required
· Working with the project co-ordinator ensure that health and safety documentation is in place prior to the running of courses, workshops and events in liaison with the project team and the CAT Health & Safety Officer.
· Liaise with the CAT hospitality team over the booking of meetings, teaching, workshop and event spaces, accommodation and catering requirements.
· Responsibility for all aspects of bookings for training, workshops and other events.
· Responsibility for post event (training, workshop, webinar etc) distribution and follow-up of surveys, setting up project evaluation interviews, sending out slides used etc.
· Take accurate minutes in meetings and distribute to participants.
· Maintenance of meetings and contacts logs.
· Working with the Project Co-ordinator organise visits by policymakers, influencers and others to the CAT site and other locations
· Directed by the Project Co-Ordinator organise training events and immersive learning experiences for day visitors to CAT
· Where appropriate, use or work towards using, written and spoken Welsh when liaising with groups
· Any other appropriate duties as defined by the Project Manager and Project Co-Ordinator.
· Ensuring compliance with CAT’s policies and procedures including Health & Safety
