Apprentice Dental Nurse-Genix Bridlington Practice

Please note this role will at times require evening, weekend working. Apprentice hourly rate for this position is £8ph.

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in dental nursing while working alongside experienced professionals.

The Apprentice Dental Nurse will assist with patient care, support the dental team, and develop essential skills required for a career in dental healthcare. This paid position is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in nursing within a dental setting and eager to learn in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials
Support patients before, during, and after treatment, providing reassurance and care
Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilisation of equipment
Manage patient records accurately using IT systems
Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments and answering patient queries
Uphold professional standards of communication and organisational skills within the practice
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients

Experience

No prior experience required; full training will be provided for the right candidate
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment scheduling
Strong organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient care and support
Interest in nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
