Position: Experienced Baker
Responsible to: Head Chef / Head Baker
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all viennoiserie, sourdough and pastry products are made consistently and in accordance with FED standards and specs
- Follow recipes and production methods accurately to maintain quality and consistency across all products
- Produce sweet and savoury pastry doughs and baked goods for daily counter service
- Work efficiently to ensure all products are ready within agreed production timelines, particularly ahead of morning deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in line with food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure all equipment is properly used, cleaned and looked after and report any issues where necessary
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Monitor product quality throughout production and flag any issues with consistency or standards
- Follow all SOPs to ensure café orders are fulfilled with the correct products and quantities
Person Profile Specification
- Passion for and good knowledge of baked goods, particularly viennoiserie, sourdough and pastry products
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively during production
- Ability to work at pace while maintaining high standards
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
- In-depth menu and company knowledge and the ability to talk enthusiastically about what we do

Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
