Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced all-round landscaper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of building high end landscapes and completing construction-related tasks. This role involves working outdoors across various sites, delivering high-quality landscaping services, and ensuring the upkeep of outdoor environments. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and experience operating machinery such as excavators, dumpers etc. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a versatile professional passionate about working within a progressive exciting design and build company.
We typically work a four day week, But there will be the opportunity to work longer hours if desired or as projects dictate.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery such as excavators, irrigation systems, and other power tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform construction tasks related to garden features, millboard decks, patios, pathways, retaining walls, oak and softwood bespoke pergolas and other structural elements as required
- Assist with installation of new landscapes, including soil preparation, planting, and turf laying
- Oversee a small team on site.
- Liaise with the customer as required.
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to during all operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape builds to a high standard.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems
- Knowledge of construction practices related to outdoor environments
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labour
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor spaces
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting equipment between sites
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
