Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated IT Helpdesk Apprentice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in information technology, providing hands-on experience across a broad range of IT support functions. The successful candidate will be involved in assisting with technical issues via telephone and remotely, supporting end-users, and gaining valuable skills in system management within a professional environment.
Annual wage£16,640 a year

Training course
Digital Support Technician Level 3
Hours
40 hours a week (including 30 min unpaid lunch break)
Monday to Friday, between 7am-6pm (Shift patterns will be applied within those hours)

Duties
- Triaging of tickets
- Resolving first line tickets
- Remote sessions with clients
- Answering calls from clients
- Proactive Maintenance tasks
- Updating helpdesk platforms
- Updating of documentation and password management tools
- Creating and updating knowledge base docs
- Liaising with stakeholders across the business

Your training course
The classroom training for the Digital Support Technician comprises of 3 modules. The apprentice will attend the training in an online classroom with their designated JBC trainer.
The modules taught are:
· Core Support & Security
· Digital Support & Communication
· Technical Support & Training
Each module is delivered remotely over five consecutive days, with the training weeks scheduled at intervals throughout the apprenticeship.

- We are a government approved apprenticeship training provider. We provide apprenticeships for a wide range of employers, large and small.
- Some of your working hours will be spent training or studying with your appointed JBC Trainer/Mentor or your employer. Learning the skills you need to be successful in the role and complete the apprenticeship.
You will have a progress review with your trainer and line manager every three months, along with regular support sessions to help you develop your portfolio.
